There is not much on this page

Press

We do not have a press office, an agency or a spokesperson, and there are no awards on this site because we have not won any.

If you are writing about small business in Queens and want somebody who will answer a question plainly rather than in a quotation, telephone the office. We will not send you a case study with a client's name on it, because we do not have one — every example on this site is a composite and says so on the page.

What we can talk about

  • How small businesses in this borough are actually run, in general terms and without naming anybody
  • What a management consultancy does and does not do, which is more contested than it should be
  • Pricing, quoting and why busy months are often the worst ones
  • Succession in family businesses, which is the least-covered thing in this trade and the most common

What we cannot

  • Anything about a client, including whether somebody is one
  • A case study with a name on it. The four on this site are composites and there is no other kind here.
  • A statistic about businesses in general. We have not measured a population of them and will not present a figure as if we had.
  • A comment on a named business, a named person or an ongoing dispute

Nothing here is benchmarked against anything. Nothing on this site compares your business to any other. We have not measured a sample of businesses like yours, so we cannot tell you what they typically do, and a figure presented as if we had would be invented data with a percentage sign on it.

This is a demonstration website. This is a demonstration website. Woodside Management Partners is not a real firm, no enquiry sent from this site reaches anybody, and the telephone number is a placeholder. It was built to show what a small professional firm gets for a fixed price.

$2,200 a partner day · ninety minutes free · about one in four we talk out of it

Start with the assessment, or just telephone

The assessment takes about four minutes and gives you a written summary of what your answers suggest and which engagement addresses each thing. It is indicative and not professional advice, and it is a better opening than a blank contact form. If you would rather skip it, the telephone works and the first meeting is ninety minutes and free.
